The ethos of turn-berlin is the power of groups, finding strength through contrast. This year???s programme starts with the show ???Urban Voids and Absences???, scheduled to open on Friday, April 23/2010.

The theme of the show is the urban landscape from diverse perspectives, bringing together work conceived and developed in other cities. Mixing the work from different urban environments, encompassing a range of media.

The dynamic of Berlin grows from a legacy of voids now open to fresh thinking. The absence of pre-conceptions encourages the new.

The focus of the discussion group will be Berlin???s emergence from its fractured and damaged past. Urban, void, absence are perceived as negative, but all around us we see these spaces refilled with vigorous new growth. We are about exploration not conclusions.

Exhibitions will be on average 12 sq M of wall space.

We invite a short written proposal outlining your project or exhibition. A link to a website including visuals and personal information is our preferred option.

All invited artists will be responsible for their costs of travel, transport, accommodation, subsistence and a share of exhibition expenses.
