U-Bahn Sound Choir

For the next two months a group of people will be using their voices to explore Berlin’s Underground Train Network.

They will be meeting regularly to listen, collect and improvise there. This informal choir will attempt to give the technical world of the Underground a poetic dimension.
There will be a public finale on the last Saturday.

Choir days on the following Saturdays:

• 25.9. (10-14:00)
• 2.10. (11-15:00)
• 23.10. (11-15:00)
• 30.10. (Finale, time and place to be confirmed)

Participation in the choir is welcome, can be spontaneous and is free.
Accompanied by a professional musician and voice educationalist.

Sunday Walks – following the city never settled

A series of guided walks of about 4 kilometers making the course of the once planned U10 underground line spacially and thematically tangible.

• 12.9. at 11:00 from Drakestra??e. (inc. a viewing of incompleted U10 station at Innsbrucker Platz) Meeting place: bakery on corner of Drakestra??e and Görzallee FULLY BOOKED
• 19.9. at 11:00 from Innsbrucker Platz Underground Station (inc. a viewing of incompleted U10 station at Kleistpark) Meeting place: Station subway, in front of ?Lidl" store.
• 26.9. at 11:00 from Potsdamer Platz Underground Station Meeting place: on U2 platform, exit “Richtung Koethener Stra??e”
• 3.10. at 11:00 from Alexanderplatz (inc. a viewing of incompleted U10 tunnel at Alex) Meeting place: on U5 platform (“Ankunftsbahnsteig”)

As Part of National Monuments Day

The artist Katharina Heilein has been building a model of the once planned U10 line with twelve Berliners since April.

On 12.09 the model builders will present the stations they have built so far, like Walther-Schreiber-Platz, Innsbrucker Platz, Greifswalder Str. and Weissensee.
