Artist Tessa Lynch is creating a performance for Collective, Edinburgh, at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena. She seeks 6 participants for preparatory workshops. Deadline: asap.

Prior to Tessa Lynch’s solo show at Collective in April 2010, Tessa will be in residence at Edinburgh International Climbing Arena in Ratho for 2 months. Tessa is creating a performance for Collective at the EICA and is looking for 6 members of the Collective audience to be involved with the project.

Anyone wishing to participate should be available to attend a series of 8 weekly workshops starting from Wednesday 27 January, 6 – 9pm. The workshops will be part climbing practice and part art workshop and will all take place at EICA.

The art part of the workshops will look specifically at:
· Introducing the idea of performance art
· Prop making
· Costume design
· Using the body to act out ideas
· Lighting a performance
· Music accompaniment
