NVA Glasgow Harvest, call for volunteers
6 Aug 2010
On Saturday 28th August, NVA is holding the first ever Glasgow Harvest. Everyone who grows their own food, on whatever scale, is being invited to take part in Glasgow???s biggest ever open-air meal. The day will involve sharing food, live music and performance. For more information go to www.nva.org.uk
NVA is looking for energetic volunteers to be part of the production team for the Harvest. This is a great opportunity to be involved with one of the most exciting environmental arts organisations in Scotland. You will help distribute information and flyers and be part of the volunteer team on the day. This role will involve travelling to different areas in Glasgow, so it???s desirable that you are a cyclist or have your own transport.
You should be available for work during August, preferably for a minimum of three days/shifts, and on the day of the Harvest itself. These times are negotiable around your schedule, as they want to make it easy for you to take part! You should be positive, energetic and willing to get involved in a very busy, high-pressured environment.
NVA can provide a set allowance to cover travel and lunch (within Glasgow) , experience of working at an exciting event and as part of a small and exciting team and references and possible contacts for future jobs. If interested, please email: harvest@nva.org.uk with your CV.
