New Self-funded Residencies at GSS

27 Jul 2011

Glasgow Sculpture Studios (GSS) offer a number of opportunities for local and international artists to undertake self-funded project residencies. These residencies are short-term from 1 to 3 month, and based on availability.

GSS provides a resource not available at any other organisation in Glasgow or the West of Scotland, where artists have varied and ideal opportunities for creating work in metal, stone, wood and ceramics, as well as plaster and resin. Through self funded residencies artists can take advantage of these unique facilities and of staff expertise.

Self-funded project residencies are designed to provide artists of all levels an opportunity to develop their work in a creative and supportive environment, at the same time facilitating cultural exchange and dialogue.

Self-funded residencies can take place throughout the year, applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and are welcome at any time. Artists undertaking self-funded residencies must be members in order to qualify for the subsidised rates GSS offer.
