Maggie Bolt Associates is a new multidisciplinary public art consultancy, aiming to create successful strategies for high quality public art.

www.maggieboltassociates.com is Bolt’s first project since operating as Director of Public Art Online for the 10 years of it’s professional existence (she was also Director of Public Art South West for 12 years). Bolt developed and launched PAO online, and was largely instrumental in shaping the resource’s ‘voice’.

Public Art South West closed on 31st March 2010 and although the Public Art Online website is still online, the site has not been updated since November 2009, and Maggie Bolt is no longer in post. Public Art Scotland understands that Arts Council England are currently re-evaluating how (and whether) the site may continue, and the funding implications of this decision.

Maggie Bolt Associates marks a new stage in Bolt’s career and, as Director of this new consultancy service in the sector, it is hoped that Bolt will continue to contribute to the contemporary public art community.
