Managed by Landtrust this fund is for environmental projects and public sector bodies, charities and other not-for-profit organisations are eligible to apply.

Landtrust is a Landfill Communities Fund intermediary organisation. It can help organisations to secure funding for environment projects that:

• involve reclaiming land, the use of which has been prevented by some previous activity;
• that reduce or prevent pollution on land;
• provide or maintain public amenities or parks within 10 miles of a landfill site;
• deliver biodiversity conservation;
• restore or repair buildings for religious worship, or of architectural or historical interest within 10 miles of a landfill site;
• fund the cost of administrative, financial or other similar services, supplied to environmental bodies.

Restrictions apply – as projects should be within a defined radius of landfill sites.
