Event Horizon - new public works by Antony Gormley
16 May 2007
Angel of the North artist Antony Gormley has created “one of the largest ever urban public art commissions, Event Horizon, which features sculptural casts of the artist’s body on rooftops and public walkways across central London, dramatically transforming the city skyline”. Over the summer months, thirty-one sculptures will be sited and looking out over London’s horizon. The figures – life-size casts of the artist’s body – will be installed in locations around the capital as part of Gormley’s exhibition Blind Light, at the Hayward gallery, from May 17 until August 19 2007.
