Central Station Member fund
8 Feb 2010
For 6 months Central Station is running a Member Fund. Every month they’re giving you the chance to get your hands on up to £1,500.
Central Station is a Scottish based online resource for Creative People, which is interested in innovative, collaborative and cross-discipline work. Your project needn’t be all of these things of course. It might help if it’s one or two of them though.
What will Central Station consider funding?
1. They’ll only look at projects submitted by members of Central Station.
2. They want to support projects that have a tangible outcome. Unfortunately we can???t fund development of ideas.
Here are some examples of what a tangible outcome might be (some, not all):
- an exhibition
- a new piece of work
- an event
- a book
3. They’re looking for projects that are scheduled to take place within three months of receipt of award.
4. They won’t consider projects that have already been submitted in previous months. Please don’t send us the same ideas over and over again…
How do Central Station select projects?
All applications will be considered on a rolling basis by a team of creative minds from the art, film and design worlds.
They’ll aim to make decisions in the first week of every month, with the first announcement due week beginning 1st March 2010.
What’ll you need to do if your project’s successful?
They want to spread the word about how Central Station works with creative people, so there are a few things They’d like you to do in exchange for the cash:
1. Join the Member Fund group on Central Station.
2. Write at least one blog on Central Station about your project.
3. Upload images to Central Station documenting your project process.
3. Upload images to Central Station documenting the final project.
4. Feature the Central Station logo, tagline and URL on all your publicity.
5. Provide them with content to allow us to promote your project in their press and publicity campaigns.
