Call for notes of interest
31 May 2011
Glasgow Arts is collaborating with Glasgow City Council, Macdonald Estates and the local community on an arts and heritage project taking place in the Gallowgate area.
At this stage of the process, Glasgow Life is inviting artists to submit notes of interest. Artists should have an interest in creating distinct artwork that reflects on the historic, creative and cultural context of the area and its future vision.
An artist’s brief will be forwarded to those who note interest and
also fit the eligibility below. The brief will set out the aims, background and requirements needed from the artists who want to put forward a relevant proposal for creating a piece of public art that will be sited in the fabric of a new building planned for the Gallowgate.
Important dates for the project
Please note that the successful commission (s) must be completed by Thursday 1 December 2011 so that installation can take place before the site opens in January 2012. There is no flexibility on these dates.
