Call for artists: Project Pride in Burnley/Accrington/Nelson

MPA would like to commission three artists or creative practitioners to work with three group of 15 young people aged 13 to 15 in Burnley, Nelson and Accrington.
The artists will facilitate research visits, deliver creative workshops and help the groups to produce a piece of creative interpretation inspired by some local landmarks. This could be in any art form, including music, film, photography, costume design, performance, visual art or sculpture.
The budget for artist fees is £3,000 per commission based on 15 days work at £200 per day, plus £250 for travel costs.
MPA also have a supporting budget of approximately £1500 per commission which they will manage and is intended to cover the costs of workshop materials, the cost of the ?creative output? and a supporting piece of media to publicise or document the work produced in each area.
Deadline for applications is Monday 21st February 2011 at 1pm.
