Project Manager
Tenants First Housing Cooperative seeks a part-time Project Manager to ensure the smooth running of their Scottish Arts Council funded ???Inspiring Communities??? project, ???Creating a Sense of Place??? at the Roanheads Housing Estate in Peterhead.
The Project Manager will work with the Steering Group, local community, Lead Artist and sessional artists to support the process of creating new artwork to enhance the sense of place and ownership within this new community.
The key aims of the project are:
- To enhance the estate???s aesthetic environment;
- To maximise the involvement of people
The Project Manager will be employed in a freelance capacity for the equivalent of 2 days per week over a 12 month period, working flexibly according to the needs of the project, commencing September.
Fee: £7,884 for 2 days per week (£19,712 pro rata)

Lead Artist
Tenants First Housing Cooperative have been awarded funding from the Scottish Arts Council ???Inspiring Communities??? fund to engage a Lead Artist to work with tenants of the Roanheads housing estate, to create new artwork that enhances the sense of place and ownership within this new community.
The lead artist will be responsible for developing an overall plan for the art works on the estate. The key aims of the project are:
- To enhance the estate???s aesthetic environment;
- To maximise the involvement of people
The resulting work/s will be sited in the central public space around which the new houses have been built, and will have a social and practical as well as aesthetic function.
The artist/s will undertake a preliminary research residency period in November, further development phase in February/March and enter a final build/production stage in early Summer 2011.
Production budget: £24,000
