Commission: Temporary Public Works for Coast Project

Three commissions are available at a fee £4,500 each for the Coast festival of Visual Arts. Artists are invited to create a temporary piece of work in the towns of Banff and Macduff that responds to the theme ???Revealing the Unseen???. The interventions will coincide with Coast, a major visual arts festival that will take place in the towns for the first time 23???26 May 2008.

Deadline for applications: Monday 22nd October 2007

The work will be sited in and should respond to specific locations in these traditional harbour towns. Artists will be encouraged to address a series of potential sites and situations, including a former outdoor swimming pool complex, the Macduff shipyard, and Banff Castle and the moated area around.
