A Direct Experience in Local Time
Geraldine Heaney is the Administration Assistant at Collective, Edinburgh, and is currently working on an adventurous public art project produced by Collective and Tatham & O’Sullivan.
The project will develop over a six month period, which started in February 2011 with Fettes College, Broughton High School and the wider Inverleith community, Edinburgh. It will contain a series of new commissions open to the public during the Edinburgh Art Festival 2011.
Other artists participating in the project are Chris Evans and Elizabeth Price, and the print design artists are Edwin Pickstone and Emlyn Firth. A steering group has also been established, comprising teachers from Fettes College and Broughton High School, representatives from the Community Council and Community Partnership Organisations, as well as Local Residents.
As well as keeping this project blog, Geraldine will also be assisting Debi Banerjee with the project workshops, keeping tabs on scheduling, and meetings, and fielding questions about the project.
