Fife artist David Annand created the sculpture, “Girl and the Swan”. Resting on stone and standing over nine feet in height, the figurative sculpture intends to reference the sea and the harbour, depicting humanity and the vulnerability of nature. The statue is sited in a landscaped public space between the Leisure Pool and Lauderdale House.

The funding of this particular proposal is the result of successfully addressing key issues raised by the Lottery Committee in response to a previously refused application.
